Tony Evans Art

BIOGRAPHY

In 1960, Tony Evans studied ceramics at UC Northridge. Deeply inspired by Japanese art, he traveled to Japan where he met several master ceramicists — a formative experience that led him to pursue life as a full-time artist. In 1966, he opened a studio in West Los Angeles, where he began painting large-scale abstract works.

After relocating to Sonoma County, Tony founded several creative ventures: Evans Ceramics in 1983, Evans Designs in 1988, and Fusion Z in 1992. His work has sold across the globe and has been widely recognized in the furniture industry, earning numerous awards for his original art and designs.

Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2017, Tony has embraced the challenge as an opportunity to explore new creative directions. His recent paintings — reminiscent of Pollock and Kline — burst with color and energy.

As Tony puts it: “Color is my drug.” He hopes you enjoy the journey his work invites you to take.
